Frame0 1.0.0-beta.3 is out now! This release includes many usability improvements. The features and fixes in this release can be found at changelog.

Snap to objects and grid

With the new snap to objects and grid feature, aligning your shapes has never been easier. Now, shapes will automatically snap to nearby objects or the grid, ensuring your layouts are clean, organized, and perfectly aligned every time. To turn on snap to object feature, select Menu > View > Snap to objects and to turn on snap to grid feature, select Menu > View > Snap to grid.

Lock and unlock shapes

Need to ensure certain shapes of your design remain untouched while you work on other parts? With the lock and unlock shapes feature, you can now secure specific shapes in place. Simply lock the objects you want to protect, and they’ll stay exactly where you left them, giving you peace of mind as you adjust other elements. To lock or unlock a shape, check or uncheck Lock in the context menu (mouse right click) or press Command+Shift+L (Ctrl+Shift+L in Windows).

Set a shape containable or not

Frame0 now allows you to designate shapes as “containable” or “non-containable,” depending on your needs. When a shape is set as containable, other objects can be nested inside it, making it ideal for grouping related elements. This feature brings flexibility in organizing your wireframes and ensures you can create complex, layered designs with ease. To make shape containable or non-containable, check or uncheck Container in the context menu (mouse right click) or press Command+Shift+T (Ctrl+Shift+T in Windows).

Landscape and portrait

On mobile or tablet, it is often necessary to design for both landscape and portrait orientations. To accommodate this, a feature has been included that allows for easy adjustment of height and width. In the Inspector sidebar, next to the height and width input fields, there is a button that allows you to swap them.

All the others issues resolved in this release can be found at changelog.
